Open letter from America to the Iranian people

To the courageous people of Iran who have marched and martyred themselves for the great cause of freedom and justice: I am an American citizen who remembers well what a strong and good relationship there was 40 years ago between my country and the nation of Iran. I remember how your country stood with the United States as a bulwark against the expansionist evil of atheist communism. And I remember why you did – because I remember the shah of Iran, called Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, and how he stood up against that threat while also boldly leading Iran’s great civilization toward the 21st century as a trusted partner in the modern era! I remember your shah’s noble effort to maintain Iran’s faith while still raising up his people to better themselves through modernization, something well understood now by young Iranians who long for the technology and access they see in the outside world. They want the same freedom to fulfill their true potential. Modernization back in the mid 20th century was a revolution for … Continue Reading

Reagan to millennials: Why the left loathes the Declaration

This July 4th weekend I opened a local Sunday paper, and what did I find? A special section filled with a copy of the Constitution of the United States. The editors wanted to celebrate Independence Day but ominously also to declare the threat they feel in the era of President Donald J. Trump (no surprise with the New York Times). Sadly, the “progressives” of my party have been undermining the Declaration for most of the last century simply by dismissing it as irrelevant. This is much more than ignorance. This is at the heart of the … Continue Reading

Donald Trump: American hero, win or lose

No matter what happens in the election, Donald Trump has – in hero-like fashion – come forth to fight a dragon that for years left most Republicans cowering. The “politically correct” left and its media minions who rule over Washington usually terrorize dissenters. Yes, Trump has been scorched by the dragon’s flaming breath, but despite flaws, his courage, vision and unusual media skills have helped him fight back, bringing him through many trials to this final moment of decision for the American people. Few pundits can understand the huge and excited crowds that wait in line all day to be part of a Trump rally. As with any hero, his bravery has awakened others. And although this awakening may grow stronger in defeat, in decisive victory it will almost certainly overwhelm Washington, D.C. It has to do with the force of truth, which has an awakening power and is the natural enemy to all the lies that have kept us sound asleep, while our national “house” is on fire. Yes, there will be fierce resistance … Continue Reading
